 Senate Memorial 9 (SM 9) relates to gun violence and seeks a study. 

 The memorial asks the Crime Victims Reparation Commission to establish a gun violence prevention task force to look at the root causes and contributing factors of gun violence in New Mexico, state and federal gun-related laws and other issues to identify potential ways to reduce gun violence. SM 9 lays out membership for the task force and requests that the group report its findings to the interim legislative committee that deals with courts, corrections and justice issues, the Governor and the Legislative Health and Human Services Committee. No deadline is noted.
