 House Bill 32 (HB 32) gives school districts the option to replace school buses with electric or zero emission alternate fuel school buses, and districts are allowed to enter into related agreements for energy storage and grid services.

Section 22-8-27 NMSA 1978 is amended to allow school districts to replace school buses with electric or zero emission alternative fuel school buses. Funding allowances for such new buses are detailed for cases in which grant funding is or is not available. New material is added to allow for energy storage and usage and related agreements.
